Meet Erik – The Top Dog at Wishbone Pet Boarding!
If dogs could talk, they’d tell you that Erik is basically the human version of a belly rub—warm, reliable, and always making tails wag! As the proud owner of Wishbone Pet Boarding, he has dedicated his life to making sure every pup that walks through our doors gets VIP (Very Important Pooch) treatment.
With a background in canine behaviorism, a deep understanding of the canine mind, and a past career in paramedicine, Erik has mastered the art of snuggles, treat distribution, and finding that one itchy spot every dog loves to have scratched. When not running the best dog boarding facility in town, you can usually find him covered in dog hair, sneaking an extra treat to the cutest guest (don’t tell the others), or having deep, meaningful conversations with the four-legged clientele.
Erik believes that dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family. And at Wishbone Pet Boarding, every dog gets treated like one of our own. Whether your pup is here for a day of play or an extended vacation, rest assured they’re in the best hands (and getting plenty of belly rubs along the way).
Come visit and say hello—just be prepared for some enthusiastic tail wags and a little bit of drool (from the dogs, not Erik—we think).
Dayton Nixon - Canine Care Specialist!
My name is Dayton Nixon and I have an enormous passion for animals and their people
Many animals are not able to communicate their needs in a way we can understand, that's why i feel a strong responsibility to protect those who may be unable to do so for themselves.
Upon meeting the team, I knew right away that we all share the same level of passion when it comes to treating the animals with all facets of a healthy and prosperous environment.
A boarding atmosphere can naturally be intimidating for a pup who is out of their comfort zone, but Erik and the team bring each of our guests in as part of the pack, which allows the animals to feel safe and cared for, just as they are in the comfort of their own home.
I found the Wishbone team and knew I needed to be a part of it. Erik and the team set the standard for how animal care facilities should run. They are compassionate, responsible, professional, and treat each and every animal as if they were their own.
I am incredibly proud of the dedication to the proper care and safety they provide to the animals who are in need of a home away from home. It has been a dream come true getting to know all of our four-legged visitors and every day I look forward to making each of their stays comfortable, safe, and memorable.
A fun fact about me is that I grew up on Hornby Island, two ferries from here! When I was young I would spend my time exploring the woods behind our house, looking for all sorts of critters like Frogs, Salamanders, Newts, Skinks, and Alligator Lizards!
Jazzy Yeomans – Canine Care Specialist!
Jazzy’s love for dogs shines through in everything she does! With a warm heart and a keen eye for every pup’s unique personality, she makes sure all our four-legged guests feel right at home. Whether she’s leading playtime, giving out belly rubs, or ensuring each dog gets the best care possible, Jazzy treats every furry friend like family. Her dedication and enthusiasm create a happy, tail-wagging environment that both dogs and their owners adore.
When she’s not at the facility, Jazzy loves spending time with her partner Erik, and their son, Emerson, as well as their own beloved pups. Whether they’re exploring the great outdoors or enjoying cozy family time, her passion for animals and people alike shines through in every part of her life!
Tricia Meredith-Jones – Canine Care Specialist!
Hello, my name is Tricia Meredith-Jones! I grew up on a dairy farm, constantly surrounded by all sorts of animals, cattle, dogs, chickens, cats, you name it, I’ve probably been around it!
Animals have always been an important part of my life, I adore them and care deeply for them. With that care, I realize each dog has their own needs, and I strive to make sure each dog's needs are met—and given the love they deserve! Whether that’s through snuggles, playtime, or even giving them space to get comfortable, I’ll do it all!
Sarah Rahim – Canine Care Specialist!
My name is Sarah. l've always had a deep love for animals, often even preferring their company to people! l've always felt a strong calling to work with animals, so getting to do that daily at Wishbone feels incredibly special. I have a deep connection and understanding of animals, and I couldn't be happier spending my days caring for and getting to know all of the wonderful dogs at Wishbone.
When I'm not at work, you'll usually find me baking, reading, gardening, or spending time at home with my cats and my dog. I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by animals, cozy at home, or outdoors.
In Loving Memory of Bonnie Goudie
It is with great sadness that we remember our beloved friend and valued member of the Wishbone Pet Boarding family, Bonnie.
Bonnie brought warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for animals to everything she did. Her gentle spirit and the care she showed every dog who came through our doors made a lasting impression on our team, our clients, and the many furry friends whose lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed, but the love, compassion, and joy she shared will always remain a meaningful part of Wishbone Pet Boarding.
